March Birchbox Subscription Box Review

I'm in trouble ya'll. I've fallen head first into the subscription box game and I don't think I'm coming out! Just this month alone I've subscribed to 10 new boxes! I blame Jennifer from Ramblings of a Suburban Mom. She does such a good job blogging about her boxes that I felt no choice but to sign on the dotted line.

Wow, I guess I was expecting a bigger box? It's small but items inside make up for it.
Look how cute the inside of the box is! Aaliyah took it right away and proceeded to color is the chevron pattern :)

Birchbox is a monthly beauty, grooming, and lifestyle subscription box that lets you discover new & exciting products. Subscriptions start out as low as $10/month and with each review you give for the samples you receive, you get points to spend on full-sized product from their online store.

Each box has a theme and this month the box's theme is Spring Forward:
This month we're talking about smart DIY's, clever beauty shortcuts, and even ways to improve your Birchbox experience.
Here is a breakdown of the goods:

Air Repair Rescue Balm: This is an all-natural salve that is supposed to repair dry, cracked skin anywhere on the body. Aaliyah has been having the worst rash around her lips due to this awful weather we have been having. I used a little on her last night before she went to bed and it did look a lot better this morning. We will go though this sample but at $12 for a full-size of .9oz, I think we will stick to our good 'ol Aquaphor.

Skinfix Body Repair Balm: The site says this was featured on Dr. Oz so it must be good (insert sarcasm here). Jokes aside, both me and my kiddos have the dreaded eczema. Uriyah more than anyone else. Poor thing has had the worst flare ups this winter. He often jokes that he is turning into a reptile :(  I rubbed this into his worst areas last night and this morning there was a vast difference in texture. I have some cracked heels I have to get in order before sandal season is upon us. If this works as well as it did on Uriyah's eczema I think we may have a keeper!

Supergoop!® City Suncreen Serum: Please forgive me but I have completely skipped over the primer phase of the make-up regimen. I'm a real low effort kind of girl when it comes to my morning regimen so I don't really know how to appreciate the primer aspect of this but the sunscreen gets a thumbs up from me. However with a $42 price tag for a full-size version... yeah I'll stick to my drug store brands.

theBalm How 'Bout Them Apples? Cheek & Lip Cream: Cute!!! So amazingly, freakishly adorbs! I LOVE items like this. This is a sample size of the Pie color. I can't get behind using a cream blush but I'm all about anything that adds color to la lips. I tried it, it didn't work for me. I got a bad case of the sads and passed it on to Aaliyah. It's perfect on her of course. I think the Cider/Caramel color would have worked better with my mocha choca skin color.

Mighty Leaf Tea Pouches: Ooooh, one of my favorite brands of tea! I love that you can see everything that is in the tea. All the 'bits & pieces'. Oh, and a biodegradable pouch. Sold!
